Book Update - Residential Design Using AutoCAD 2019

My AutoCAD book has been updated for the new 2019 version which was just released by Autodesk. This book first came out in 2004, and has been updated every year since - that's 15 years!

Many architecture and engineering firms still use AutoCAD; some exclusively and others in conjunction with Revit. With this in mind, most schools offer an AutoCAD class in addition to Revit.

This tutorial-style book walks the reader through the commands and workflows required to...
develop a two story residence, including floors plans, exterior elevations, sections, interior elevations, schedules and details. Here are three images depicting the project:

Several of the icons have been refreshed in this AutoCAD update as shown in the image below. Thus, screenshots have been updated throughout the book. This book is used in many classrooms across North America, so it is important to offer an updated book to give the best student experience for the software/version they are using.

The textbook is available in from several sources and in multiple formats. From school bookstores to international sales, I wrote about the later here: International Books Sales. Also, notice several eBook options, including two popular in the academic market; RedSelf and VitaSource. To see the options shown in the image below, click here.

While many publishers struggle to get updated Autodesk books ready by Fall Semester, this book is available now! Instructors in North America can request a free exam copy now and review it over summer break. Or, anyone can head to one of the 'purchase options' links listed above and order one.

Here are the book details:
