NVIDIA Customer Story on Lake|Flato's use of Innoactive for Streaming VR

NVIDIA just published a case study highlighting Lake|Flato's use of Innoative, a service that facilitates streaming an Enscape VR experience across the internet to a wireless Meta Quest 2 headset.

keep reading to learn more...

I will try not to get too wordy in this post, as the NVIDIA link below covers the concept well. However, I do want to share a video an in-app screenshot not in the article.

Also, in the article (see image below), you will notice mention of the new NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Generation GPU, which NVIDIA just announced this week at SIGGRAPH. Although it just became available with the announcement, I've been testing one for about two months. I was quoted in the official news release, which you can read here, click here. More on this in a future post.

Here is a view from within the Innoactive portal. Notice, in the upper right, that the Quest 2 HMD is "connected." From one of our Dell tablets (everyone has but is not capable of VR) we can initiate the VR experience in the headset and then see what they see on the tablet and/or on a connected larger screen... as seen in the photo above.

Here is a video I created from within the Meta Quest 2 headset. We have tested very detailed Enscape models that have been over 1 GB and get good performance!

For more on our technology profile, see this Dell blog posthttps://www.dell.com/en-us/blog/designing-from-the-home-office/ Now that our office remodel is complete, I will share more technology-related items soon.

Also, here is a post I wrote two years ago on manually implementing NVIDIA CloudXR, which is not easy. Innoactive actually makes this workflow scalable. https://bimchapters.blogspot.com/2021/10/nvidia-cloudxr-for-aec.html

Fun stuff.
