Keep Your Graphics Driver Current with NVIDIA Quadro Experience

Today's post shares a free tool from NVIDIA you can use to make sure your graphics driver is up-to-date when using a Quadro-based GPU. The tool is the workstation-based NVIDIA Quadro Experience, which is similar to the consumer/gaming-based NVIDIA GeForce Experience.

What is NVIDIA Quadro Experience, in their own words:
NVIDIA Quadro Experience is the companion application to your Quadro® graphics card that enhances professional workflows. It facilitates collaboration with versatile screen recording and streaming capabilities and simplifies your workflow with quick access to your favorite GPU-accelerated  applications. It also provides automatic alerts for new driver releases, so you can access the latest software features at your convenience. When you’re not working, Quadro Experience also provides access to gaming features.

There is more to this tool, as the description above reveals. However, the thing I really like about it is the streamlined way we can access GPU driver updates. You don't need to manually check for drivers, and then know your GPU type and OS info. This is really helpful given the graphics intensive applications we use in AEC. Updating the graphics driver resolves a surprising number of support issues. Especially with Ensacpe and real-time reading during the design process.

I previous wrote on how to manually check and update your graphics driver in this BIM Chapters blog post: Updating Your Graphics Driver - A How To Post For Students

With the NVIDIA Quadro Experience installed, here are the steps to update the graphics driver:

NVIDIA lists applications it recognizes as optimized for Quadro. All you can do here is launch the application from what I can tell. FYI: Yes, this computer has Revit installed on it:)

Here is a peak at the settings,,.

Fun stuff.
