Enscape 2.8 Has Dropped! Plus, What Will be in 2.9?

Enscape 2.8 has dropped! You can download it now and start exploring the new features.

What are those new features? That is the topic of today's post!

Keep reading to learn more...

The three big improvements for this release are:
  • Collaborative Annotation
  • Animated Vegetation
  • Asset Expansion and Improvements
See the details about each of these new features here: Enscape Latest Version

Here is my brief description of each...

Collaboration Annotation
Collaboration allows us to track issues within Enscape. This will be helpful when presenting to a client and you want to track their comments. For expanded functionality, support for BIM Track is possible.

Animated Vegetation
I don't have much experience with this feature yet, The idea here is the simulate the grass and leaves blowing in the wind. I look forward to exploring this one more!

Asset Expansion and Improvements
More assets? Yes, please! The new version includes several healthcare related content.

As Enscape continues to expand their assets I look forward to more diversity in ethnicity, gender, occupations and active poses. Please keep it coming, Ensacpe!

As you will see in the next section, the ability to manage a custom library is also in the works! This can be done with some manual effort now as written in this post: Tutorial: how to create custom Enscape assets. Here is an example of a custom library from Pieter Schiettecatte from A+I.

Here are a few more features for 2.8:

What's Coming in Version 2.9?

Is it too early to talk about the next version? Not really... video textures and formal support for a custom asset library! Plus, user accounts will be huge... right now it is difficult to track who is using your licenses.

Fun stuff!
