AIA|LA – DECARBONIZATION TOOLBOX – “WHAT’S IN YOUR TOOLBOX?”

I will be on a panel for the AIA Los Angeles chapter's COTE and Practice committees next month! We will be talking about design tools employed by the entire team (Arch, Interiors, Struct, MEP, LA) to reduce the operational and embodied carbon footprint of the buildings and sites we design.

I look forward to sharing some of what we are doing at Lake|Flato.

AIALA Committee: Practice and COTE

Event Sponsored by: RELM

CES Units: 1.5 LU/HSW

Architects, Interior Designers, Structural Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Landscape Architects can have positive impacts on the climate change through their work – collaboration on energy efficiency, landscape design, material selection, and a host of other strategies to support high-performing designs. By teaming up BIM Managers and technology specialists, we will explore how decarbonization tools support these efforts. During this session, our experts will present about technology they’re interested in or are using, as it relates to sustainability, and discuss the next steps to ensuring these technologies are more universally applied across our work.
