I am excited to share details about a presentation I will be participating in at the annual AIA Minnesota 2022 Conference on Architecture, representing Lake|Flato, next month in Minneapolis.
Building off of a highly successful presentation (with EHDD and Centerbrook) at the national AIA convention in Chicago earlier this year, I teamed up with two leading firms (HGA and MSR Design) in Minneapolis to give a similar presentation!
Btw, this will be my sixth time presenting at the Minnesota Conference on Architecture!
Here are the details...
Building Climate Action Design Cultures: Technology, Workflows, and Teams
75-minute moderated panel
Wednesday, November 9, 2022
10:15 AM – 11:30 AM
- Simona Fischer AIA – Director of Sustainable Practice, MSR Design
- Alissa Kingsley AIA – Sustainable Operations Leader, HGA Architects and Engineers
- Daniel Stine AIA, IES, CSI, CDT, – Director of Design Technology and Research, Lake|Flato Architects
Description:How can climate action be integrated into design culture across every project? In this panel, sustainable design professionals from three leading firms will have a lively discussion, sharing, through case studies, iterative actions taken in each phase to reduce carbon emissions and enhance environmental and human well-being. Structured as a conversation that follows the arc of the design process rather than a set of distinct presentations, the discussion will illuminate workflows for integrated sustainable design.
