I recently got my hands on a new 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Bluetooth Edition 3D mouse! Today's post is a quick share out on it.
I have had a wireless 3D SpaceMouse for years and think it is the ONLY way to navigate an Enscape model:) Be sure to check out the two videos I created, linked below, highlighting how this device works and is specifically designed for the AEC industry.
The SpaceMouse, in case you are not aware, is typically used by your non-dominant hand in addition to your regular mouse. Using just one hand, you can move through space in a supported application like Revit, Enscape, InfraWorks, etc., smoothly and cinematographically. As you can see in the videos below, you can move in multiple ways simultaneously (up/down, left/right, twist, tilt, forward/backward) with just one hand.
Here are a couple of box photos...
Notice that the new Bluetooth Edition device still ships with a USB dongle, but you don't need it on Bluetooth-compatible devices, like a laptop.
Here is what is in the box...
This model has also been updated with a USB-C connection... for charging (and a wired connection to a computer when/if needed).
One more dramatic photo, compliments of my iPhone:)
I recently created a video highlighting how their ecosystem of devices works within AEC products like Revit and Enscape.
