My AECbytes article - civil-related tools & workflows for Revit users

I wrote a new article, just published at AECbytes, on civil-related tools and workflows that Revit users should be aware of.

One section includes an introduction to a new add-in under development for Revit by ParallaxTeam, called FOREground... everything in the image below was modeled with this tool, resulting in a high fidelity site model within Revit.

keep reading to learn more...

The topics covered in the article include:
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • BIM 360 Collaborate Pro
    • Published Toposurface
    • Round trip coordinates
  • Infraworks
    • Bridge and rail design
    • Preliminary topography
  • Revit
    • Link Toposurface
    • FOREground for Revit, by ParallaxTeam

Revit 2022, with Civil 3D and Infraworks, for Civil and Site Design

In the article, I show how Revit users can get preliminary topo from Infraworks... the image below shows one image from this project, which happens to be an area around our Lake|Flato office, here in San Antonio, Texas.
