In the main start Revit 2020 start page, you have the same "Open" button drop-down options as the traditional Open dialog as shown here (click to enlarge).
Selectivity loading worksets is meant to reduce the burden on your system resources... and, in my opinion, should be employed before splitting models apart because they are too big:)
