I recently used Tally, here at Lake|Flato, to do an embodied carbon study on a project using a DLT flooring system. DLT = Dowel Laminated Timber, which has no nails or glue.

Here on my blog, I have written about Tally a few times. For example: Tally - Life Cycle Assessment - By KieranTimberlake

I recently had an opportunity to chat with Building Transparency's Executive Director, Stacy Smedley, who is also the Director of Sustainability at Skanska... as well at their lead developer, Phil Northcott from C Change Labs. They have some exciting things planned for Tally and EC3. This includes access to more material information via EPDs and an exciting announcement at the upcoming NAPHN Passive House For All conference later this week!

On a related note, my friend Roderick Bates, who was the principal in charge of Tally (and ROAST) at KieranTimberlake, left for an exciting new opportunity at Enscape, as their Head of Integrated Practice. Read more about that in this post: KieranTimberlake Principal moves to Head of Integrated Practice at Enscape.
