The new features just keep rolling in from the Enscape team. This time, coming soon in version 2.9, we have animated assets. For example, the news can be playing on a television screen while passing by!
Enscape 2.9 will have a video asset, defined as a material. We will also be able to add this material asset to our custom content (custom content is another new 2.9 feature).
Here at Lake | Flato we have been developing a custom asset library, as partially shown below. The bright red daybed and the non-green tree are remnants from the demo of I gave on Jeffrey A. Pinheiro, AIA, aka The Revit Kid's, Live YouTube show recently: Link to Recording: BIM After Dark - BIM After Dark - Live: Revit & Enscape 2.8: Design, Present, Collaborate w/Dan Stine (Episode 26).
Thanks to our BIM Manager, Steven Campbell, for creating the TV asset example!
To see this in action, you have to keep moving in Enscape, create a video, or be in VR. Here is a YouTube video showing the video on a TV screen in a conference room.
Phil Read posted about this on LinkedIn as well: Adding animated textures to Revit for rendering in Enscape
