NEMA Webinar - BIM Data Requirements for Electrical Products

Check out this upcoming webinar, lead by industry design professionals, on a new standard by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).

Here is a recent post I wrote about this new standard, which touches on my previous involvement in creation it.

This standard is a first of its king (as far as I know) that specifically supports the software NEMA members, and their design professional customers, are using... that being Autodesk Revit (MEP).

Webinar Details

The following is the webinar description from NEMA...

Building information modeling (BIM) has become the primary design development and documentation tool for all construction industry processes. Several BIM authoring tools offer the database capabilities for electrical products; however, BIM modelers and component library developers often do not have Standard guidelines for specifying all the required data to coordinate trades and processes to consume this BIM data efficiently.

Join Bunker Consulting, CTC Software, Gausman & Moore Associates, Intertek, and NEMA for a webinar on October 7 at 1 PM Eastern to learn more about the list of properties and data types for electrical products to enhance BIM models with interoperable data for design, construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems in buildings.
