Yesterday, I had the opportunity to present, along with Lake|Flato's design performance coordinator Kate Sector, on operational and embodied carbon for University of Michigan graduate architecture students. This is the topic of today's post.
Kate and I presented for professor Jen Maigret, Associate Professor in Architecture at Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning, University of Michigan.
The class was ARCH 515 Sustainable Systems. It is a required course for all incoming MArch students, with 155 enrolled! Prof. Maigret said "It is a broad, survey course on "Sustainable Systems" and I generally try to cover a range of topics including some theory, cultural considerations and touch on the technical side of things as well".
