'Tis the Season for Training!

As we roll into summer, the construction season shifts to full throttle... especially in our colder climates where such work is more difficult/costly in the  winter months. I was doing Revit training this week with two new hires at LHB, and they agreed to let me share...

My two great new Revit trainees are...

Rachel Marsh, who just completed her M.Arch at NDSU. She was also in my Fall 2018 Building Information Modelling class I teach there. You can see here pictured in this post (front left): NDSU - First Week of School - Fall 2018.

Garrett VanRoekel, is in the architecture program at Dunwoody and working at LHB as an intern. I have lectured a few times at Dunwoody, which is 8-10 minutes away from our Minneapolis office. My previous post is about a recent Dunwoody grad working here at LHB: Ben Sherman - Class of 2019 - Thesis Project.
BTW, Dunwoody is a first-of-its-kind... if you have a two year technical/drafting degree (from anywhere) you can go to Dunwoody for three more years and be qualified to sit for the ARE. Thus, making architecture more accessible!
In addition to training, Tuesday was a beautiful day in Minneapolis so we went to a nearby cafe and had lunch outside!

Both Rachel and Garrett are a great new additions to LHB, as are several others we have hired and I have provided training for (but did not get pictures, sorry:)).

LHB Information Monitors
To share news to over 200 staff, LHB has information monitors in each office and on each floor. They cycle through things like work anniversaries, new projects, community projects, new hires and more. Here are the two slides announcing the arrival of Rachel and Garrett.

Fun stuff!
