A Virtual Street Reconstruction Project Comes to Life

A quick post to share a rendered image I created, as part of a public VR experience for an urban street renewal project, that made it onto the company calendar juxtaposed the completed project.

Notice, in the two  images above,  how the shadows match... in our rendering software we are able to specify the location on Earth, as well as the month, day and time. Also, we hired a local photography, Jeff Frey, to take photos of each existing building which where then applied to an extruded solid within the 3D model.

Here is a video I created for this project, from an Autodesk Revit model using Enscape, back in 2018...

Here is one more video showing the complex underground utilities modeled in AutoCAD Civil 3D. We also used NavisWorks for clash detection...
