Autodesk Revit November 2020 Roadmap Update

Autodesk updated their public roadmap, showing what they are working on for Revit. This update also includes a new Trello board, which I am slightly confused about. Todays posts is about that and how to get involved in their beta program.

Autodesk just refreshed their public roadmap, which lists new features and workflows they are working.

With this, they have implemented a Trello board to organize those efforts. This board and format look great, as seen in the image above. The part that is confusing is why anyone would vote on these items if Autodesk is already working on them?

The image below shows the new feature, listed under architecture, that currently has the most votes; Show Wall Core in Plan Views. It currently has 94 votes. Although this is listed under architecture, I think structural might like this feature, if they can use the architectural wall, and not have to redraw their own so only the CMU appears, for example.

Get involved with the beta to have more influence on the future of Revit!

Be sure to read the section at the end of the blog post where Sasha Crotty talks about how you can join the Autodesk beta program. This program, which I have been part of for many years, allows you to use the beta version of Revit to try out and comment on new features. They do indeed listen to what customers are saying in the special beta forums and smaller-group sprint demos! I highly recommend it.
