Autodesk updated their sample stair and railing project file and placed it in the content folders. I just bumped into it the other day and thought I would share that discovery here...
Here are the details...
The file is called Stair and Railing System Family Library.rvt and located here: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2019\Libraries\US Imperial\System Families

All the stairs are now component stairs and some of the railings have been updated to the new type with selectable railings, supports and top rail. But, oddly, others have not been updated. For example, the wall mounted handrail in the first image, is still the old option with the special wall return family and non-selectable supports. This is pretty easy to create with the new railing feature, so that is too bad they did not update everything to help new users.
I also found another project file called System Family Library.rvt in the same folder.
