As another interesting year comes to a close I want to share a post on the year that was 2021, the top ten posts, highlights, and mention a few of my favorites...
Before the top 10, here are a few of my personal favorites:
- Revit + Insight - Custom Schematic Wall Construction
- Revit + Insight - Mixed Use Occupancy Energy Model
- Lake|Flato's Confluence Park - Nature as Inspiration
- Embodied Carbon Report via Lake Flato Investigations

I was interviewed/featured in several articles:
- Dell: Designing From the Home Office
- ArchDaily: Designing New Systems: How Lake|Flato is Looking to the Future
- ARCHITECT Magazine: 7 Open-Source Software Options for Architects
- Autodesk: Lake Flato on Revit 2022 | Customer Voices
- NVIDIA: Architecture Firm Makes Sustainable Choice for More Performance, Less Energy
- NVIDIA/Enscape Webinar: NVIDIA DLSS and Enscape: Introducing the Latest Tech in Real-Time Visualization
As mentioned in the ArchDaily post, I have been working with Heather Holdridge, an Associate Partner and the Director of Design Performance at Lake|Flato, along with a team from Buro Happold, and the Sustainable Performance Institute on the forthcoming AIA Climate Action Guide for Practice. I will also be presenting with EHDD and Centerbrook at+ the 2022 AIA convention in Chicago.
Two more highlights:
- I worked on the project to create this Miro post and video that turned out really well: Miro Customer Feature: How Lake | Flato uses Miro to create inclusive architecture
- Here is an article I wrote for AECbytes: Revit 2022, with Civil 3D and Infraworks, for Civil and Site Design
The blog continues to do well with an average of 20k+ views a month, thanks you!
